The Liturgical Music Committee of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America is pleased to present a Liturgical Singing Seminar February 8-10 at St Jonah parish in Spring, TX.
This seminar is designed for those who need Liturgical Music Skills 101. We are going back to the starting line. Topics will include BASICS of the following: Vocal Technique, Chanting, Conducting, Music Theory, Eight Tones, and Sightreading.
Presenters/Conductors will include Deacon Alexander Petrovsky, Demetra Durham, and Larissa Kaminsky Sander.
We have listened to the requests of many conductors and singers and have designed this Seminar for the overwhelming needs of our smaller parish choirs. The services will be sung/chanted mostly in English. Space is extremely limited so register now!
The cost of registration includes all materials and meals. Lodging options will be made available shortly. In addition, a limited number of home-stay locations are available. Discounted registration is available to youth singers. Please make travel plans to arrive by 10 A.M. on Friday, February 8.
